Sara Polinsky
Sara Polinsky has been practicing law exclusively in the areas of Estate Planning and Elder Law since 1998. She works with clients and families to create Living Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives and addresses issues of planning for incapacity, legal transfers of property to protect assets and minimize tax consequences and benefits planning for long term care, including both Medi-Cal Long Term Care and VA Aid and Attendance benefits. The goal of the firm is to provide clients with a comprehensive plan for their Estate and/or Long Term care planning needs.
Sara conducts numerous seminars each month on topics such as: “Estate Planning 101,” “Planning for Incapacity,” “Planning for Long Term Care,” and “How to Avoid the Financial Devastation of Nursing Home Care.” Recently, Sara became an approved provider by the Board of Behavioral Sciences to provide continuing education courses to licensed therapists and social workers on these and other topics. Sara also volunteers several hours each month working with various Senior Centers throughout Los Angeles County to provide free monthly Legal Clinics to the members of those communities.
In 2004, Sara co-founded and is on the Board of Directors of a non-profit organization called Make A Senior Smile, Inc. The mission of Make A Senior Smile is to enhance and celebrate the lives of seniors and to acknowledge their contributions to society through the years, so that they will know they are needed and appreciated. To date, the organization has successfully raised funds and has been able to fulfill many “smile” requests.
Sara is also an active member of The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform.
